Chicken is also available as a playable character in Showdown Mode from the start of the game and does not need to be unlocked. His special ability grants him dynamite that sticks to an opponent and almost always kills them.
The outlaw simply known as "Chicken" is an officer in the Ugly gang. Chicken is considered to be mean and of low intellect and his nickname comes from not only his cowardice, but also since he seems to prefer the company of actual chickens. Chicken is wanted dead or alive with a $125 bounty reward for the crimes of murder and moral turpitude, which could imply he is a zoophile.
Events of Red Dead Revolver
Red Harlow arrives at Widow's Patch to bring the dead bodies of the Bloody Tom Gang from Twin Rocks. Sheriff O'Grady informs Red that because the Ugly Gang has taken over the town and stolen all of the money, he cannot pay Red for his bounties. Udo Kang, one of the Ugly Gang members and under Chicken's auspice, shoots and kills Red's dog which angers Red and provokes him to attack the gang. Chicken is the first mini-boss Red faces. He loves to take cover which can prove to be extremely annoying, opposite to Bob Larson and Udo Kang. However, Red eventually kills Chicken, prompting the wrath of Jacques Markus.
Chicken is listed in Sheriff Bartlett's Journal on pages 88 - 89 under the Ugly Chris' Gang section. His pages are available from the start of the game and do not need to be unlocked. His journal entry picture includes his wanted poster, feathers and an actual chicken, along with his page being covered with chicken talons.

Trivia
If he is selected as the second player in Showdown Mode he will sport a moustache and wear a brown coat, but if he is selected as the fourth player he will sport a beard, will be missing some teeth and his coat will be white.
He shares a voice actor with Harry Schultz, but it is never specified in the credits who their voice actor is.
A random duelist shares a similar model as Chicken and William Treadwell during the random dueling sequences in the mission "Battle Royale". 'Chicken' is killed by Billy Cougar.
In beta artworks of the Ugly gang, Chicken was supposed to have actual chicken feet for hands, making his nickname even more literal.
