Crustaceans are animals found in Red Dead Redemption 2 that includes two species, a crab (Cuban Land Crab) and a crayfish (Red Swamp Crayfish).
Description
Two species of crustacean exist in the game: the Cuban land crab and the red swamp crayfish. Only the crab will yield Crustacean Meat when collected, while the crayfish is reserved for use as a fish bait.

- Guarma
- Rio Bravo, on the bank of the San Luis River (south of Del Lobo Rock, southeast of Plainview)
- Scarlett Meadows, on an island off the western bank of Flat Iron Lake
- Two spawn under Bonnie MacFarlane's husband in the Shipwreck random encounter
Red Swamp Crayfish
- Crayfish can be found in holes in the mud that are searchable by the player (they are easy to find — they emit "gold sparks" in Eagle eye). These holes are scattered around the swamps in Bayou Nwa:

Crustacean Meat is needed for the last Herbalist Challenge.
Tips
Use small game arrows in order to cleanly kill the crab.
Trivia
- The compendium states that crayfish can be killed with a bow and arrows. However, they can only be collected by searching crayfish holes.
