Nothing is known about the Logging Foreman's life prior to 1899, other than that he is the foreman for the Appleseed Timber Company's camp at Monto's Rest.

Events of Red Dead Redemption 2

When first encountered, the foreman introduces himself and tells Arthur that he works for The Appleseed Timber Company. He tells Arthur that he can sell him lumber and eventually tells Arthur that his men are behind in the work. He tells Arthur that he is running out of supplies and can not send anyone to get supplies. He asks Arthur if he has some supplies and will gladly pay him. The player has the option to sell or not sell any items to the foreman.

In the second encounter, a tree falls in the wrong direction and traps a worker. The foreman and other men rush to the help the trapped worker. The player has the option to help them lift the tree. The foreman will thank the player for helping. The foreman will tell the injured worker that he can not pay him due to being injured on the job.

In the third encounter, the foreman orders the workers to get back to work, but they refuse to work due to a few wolves attacking the site and killing two workers. The foreman is frustrated that the men refuse to work and notices Arthur. The foreman asks Arthur to kill the wolves that have been attacking the site. The player has the option to help or not help the foreman. After killing the wolves, the foreman will reward the player $50 dollars.

If the player offered to help Curtis's father get supplies for building the house in Castor's Ridge, they can ask the foreman for some supplies. The foreman will give the wood for free since the player has been helping him.

When returning after the final encounter, the foreman and workers will no longer be present at the site and have finished cutting down the trees.
