Crimes are activities performed in Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2. These acts will give the player a bounty, a higher bounty will be given for a more severe crime. After gaining a bounty, the player will be pursued by lawmen and Bounty Hunters. In Red Dead Redemption, if John or Jack is wearing the Bureau Uniform, he will not be attacked by the law. If gaining a high enough bounty, a posse will be sent after the player to bring him to justice. In Red Dead Redemption 2, committing too many crimes in a town will result in a temporary lockdown. Committing crimes will always result in a loss of Honor (unless in certain random events).
